This boother from down under knows what it’s like to be on top of her game!

I watch in awe of Kerry as she quietly built her photo booth business over the last 10 years; growing her offering, her team and building a brand that just can’t be ignored.

She started with a mirror booth, then another, and another, and another still before moving to the Mobi booths and finally building her own.

A true ambassador to our industry. Always open to help everyone be better, no matter where they are in the world.

How long have you been in business?
Our core photography business started in 1917 (yep 106 years ago) but the booth division has been going for a decade now.

What is your favourite booth?  One we commissioned a master craftsman to build that’s a DLSR/Snappic combo with flash and not one visible cable! We also love our Mobi Booth Aura & Aura M (DSLR)

What is your favourite software? We can’t fault Snappic. Their customer service is fantastic and they are consistently innovating the software for our client’s needs.

Best Event?

Our best event was a booth we donated to a centre that helps families of autistic children Luke Priddis Foundation. We donated a booth annually for their Christmas Santa day so families can have a private session with Santa without all the fuss and overwhelming things that go with a shopping mall experience; it’s rewarding to be able to give back.

Your 3 Tips for success in the photo booth industry

#1 DON’T NICKEL AND DIME THE SMALL STUFF
Everything is added value so, charge appropriately and include it in your booth experience. Truly it costs peanuts for an extra template, bringing props. Work up to a standard not down to a budget.

 

#2 IT’S OK TO SAY NO

Not everyone is your client, and once you’ve set your standards, it’s OK to say no to anyone who isn’t your customer base.

 

#3 LEARN YOUR CRAFT

Take the time to understand the basic elements of photography. It is after all the core of what we are producing. Even if it’s iPad you need to understand what to change and lighting to give your customers the best output and your company the best results.
